Head of Employee Belonging
Maria Febre is the Head of Employee Belonging at Gap Inc. and is responsible for advancing the organization's D&I global enterprise strategy and driving organizational performance through diversity. Her primary focus is to help lead, create and sustain an inclusive culture where all employees feel a sense of belonging, which positively impacts how we serve our diverse customers internally and externally and shows how we drive for equality in our communities. Maria oversees workplace inclusion and serves as the lead architect with our anti-racist training curriculum, is responsible for the governance and operating model of seven employee resource groups, leads the design and execution of all cultural, heritage and recognition initiatives for the enterprise. She is a member of the California and Bay Area Diversity Council, contributed to the Stanford Center of the Advancement of Women's Leadership, and is one of the founders of Gap Inc.'s Asian American employee resource group. Before her work with Gap Inc.'s Equality & Belonging team, she started her journey with the company as an Admin Assistant and built her career over 18 years with Gap Inc.'s Asset Protection team. Maria has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Notre Dame de Namur and also has as Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Skyline. Maria and her husband have four children, of which two will be graduating from college and high school this year and lives in the Bay Area.
