In her role, Vanessa is responsible for adidas’ commercial strategy, overseeing wholesale, retail, e-commerce and Key Cities in North America. Prior to joining adidas, she was President of Lord & Taylor.

Vanessa has over 20 years of experience in the retail industry. She began her career in 1999 as an Executive Trainee with the May Company (then parent company of Lord & Taylor). Over the course of 10 years with Lord & Taylor, she moved up through several buying assignments to Divisional Merchandise Manager of Modern and Contemporary Sportswear in 2005.

Starting in 2009, she worked for several other retailers, including TJX, Macy’s and Stitch Fix. Notably, at Macy’s, Vanessa was the principal architect of Macy’s Backstage division and was responsible for all aspects of the business. During her tenure, she grew the division into a multi-concept operation, including store within store concepts. At Stitch Fix, she was VP, GMM of Women’s, the primary business for the company, and worked with data scientists to evolve the way data can change the retail landscape. In 2018, Vanessa returned to Lord & Taylor as President. In 2021, Vanessa was appointed as a Board Member of Splitit, a global installment payment provider.

Vanessa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She and her husband have three children and reside in Portland, Ore.
